Jackson Industrial Development Company (JIDC)

Economic & Industrial Development

The Jackson Industrial Development Company (J.I.D.C.) was formed in April of 1962 for the purpose of recruiting the retaining industry in Jackson.

Since 1962, the JIDC has been involved in many projects, they include:

The first industry recruited to Jackson was: Lee-Rowen (now Rubbermaid).

Other industry to the JIDC has either brought to Jackson or helped with the expansion are:

  1. American Railcar Industry
  2. NLC – Lenco
  3. Ceramo
  4. Ocean Plastics
  5. Relocation of Coca Cola
  6. Midwest Sterilization
  7. Busey’s Trucking
  8. B&B Door
  9. Signature Packaging and Paper
  10. Associated Sheet Metal
  11. Langford Service
