The Chamber of Commerce Executives of Missouri (CCEM) awarded the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce an Award of Excellence for their Women’s Impact Network (WIN) program during the CCEM Fall Conference in the Lake of the Ozarks November 6-8. These awards honor, reward, and celebrate the achievements of outstanding chamber professionals in Missouri.
The Women’s Impact Network (WIN) of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce is a personal and business development group dedicated to helping women reach their full potential.
Their goal is to provide events on the 2nd Thursday of every other month where women connect with other women, learn something new, and feel empowered. They want to give women the opportunity to achieve their goals and make a difference in their lives, community and world. Their speakers are leaders in the community who volunteer their time to educate women on their area of expertise. Topics have included work/life balance, self- defense, heart health, “What Women Auto Know,” organizing methods, “WINning the Holidays,” landscaping tips & tricks, travel tips, and how to deal with conflict. This past December, they assembled over 800 Snack Packs for the Jackson R-2 School District. WIN enhances the lives of female leaders by highlighting topics that are pertinent to their personal and professional development. On average, a total of 90 women attend these luncheons.
The WIN Committee consists of Jen Berti (Vice President of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce), Sara Gerau (Farmers Insurance-Sara Gerau Agency), and Merideth Pobst (Director of Communications for Jackson R-2 School District).
WIN Sponsors include 1st Class Travel, First State Community Bank, Farmers Insurance-Sara Gerau Agency, Bug Zero, Heartland Custom Flooring, Gray & Co. Concierge Real Estate Team, SERVPRO of Cape Girardeau & Scott Counties, and United Land Title.
